Description
I designed this tool to solve a problem in my own studio. While enameling tubes, I needed a way to rotate the piece smoothly without constantly touching or repositioning it—so I created this rotating jig.
The axle features a manual knob that allows you to turn your work with control while you enamel, carve, inlay, or refine the surface. Interchangeable sleeves slide onto the axle to securely hold tubes with different inner diameters.
It’s also great for ring inlay work with sleeves sized for different ring diameters, and for metal clay artists who want easy access to the entire piece while working.
A simple, versatile tool designed at the bench to make working on round forms easier.
Features
- Smooth manual knob for controlled rotationInterchangeable sleeves to fit different tube diameters
- Compatible sleeves available for various ring sizes
- Ideal for tube enameling, ring inlay work, and metal clay projects
- Allows full 360° access to cylindrical pieces while you work
NOTE: This tool is not meant for striking or pounding; it is meant to hold cylinders in place to work around the circumference. The handle can be positioned either on the left or the right in the stabilizing mechanism depending upon whether the artist is right or left handed. The stabilizing mechanism keeps the axle from shifting or sliding while working.
