Hang out with me in the new enameling space at Salt City Smithery. This is a great time to practice what you’ve learned in my two enamel classes plus have access to tools and equipment for enameling! Note, there will be no new instruction in this guided open studio but I will be available to answer questions and give reminders so you can use the skills you’ve just learned comfortably.
Every 4th Friday of the month (January through October).
* June is the 3rd Friday due to a personal conflict

I’m now offering one-on-one private enamel sessions for local artists and enamelists who want focused, hands-on time in the studio with me. Bring a project you’re stuck on, a technique you want to explore, a problem you need to solve, or simply something you’ve been itching to learn. With more than 20 years of enameling experience, I can help you troubleshoot, experiment, and take your work in new directions.
These aren’t formal classes with a set curriculum—we start with what YOU want to accomplish and go from there. Bring your questions, your experiments, and even your “Why did THAT happen?” moments, and let’s figure it out together!
ENAMELED FOLD FORMED BOWLS
COMING SOON
Transform a sheet of copper into a piece of functional art! Decorating your home with unique, handmade art is one of life’s great pleasures. Why not create your next display piece yourself? In this course, you’ll learn fold-forming techniques to give copper rich, organic textures. Then, you’ll shape it into a bowl and add a stunning enamel finish.
No experience? No problem! This class is open to all artistic levels and abilities.
(Please bring a mask because we will be sifting enamel and should not breathe it.)
