Color, pathways, lines, light, dark; this piece is all about flow. The colors flow into one another, the lines separate and merge. And when viewed from a certain perspective, it also has a yin yang element.
Cloisonné is a style of enameling whereby little cells are created with wire and then filled with enamel, silver and gold fused in a kiln. You can read more about the entire process here.
