Made on demand. Order your pendant, and I’ll make your own mended heart.
This piece speaks of the resilience of the heart. Every human has some type of event that wounds their heart a little or a lot. Sometimes it’s many small situations. Sometimes it’s a giant one. Somehow our hearts have this ability to mend themselves. It isn’t always pretty and it certainly will never look the same, but day by day it keeps mending itself.
“Broken hearts don’t just magically become unbroken. But they can be stitched together, not always with the best sewing skills, but still… we figure it out. I think it’s just so beautiful for people who have experienced any amount of life.”
A hand formed fine silver heart, cut and broken. Sterling silver wire stitches it together and affixes it to the chain. Never the same as it once was, but still resilient. Still mendable.
This pendant is hand shaped using FYI Pure Silver Clay. My work is then embellished, filed, sanded, and refined. Once the piece is to my liking, I fire it in my kiln where the clay binder burns off and the pure silver metal is left. From there I polish and patina them for effect.
The piece is affixed to a 16″, 18″ or 20″ chain with an offset clasp or a traditional clasp. Select your chain length preference and clasp preference.
