“We lose ourselves in the things we love. We find ourselves there too.” ~ Kristin Martz
I love to use my journal as a place to explore new technique, release emotions, and just play. As you can see from the image above, I love to journal.
I use my journals as a way to learn from other artists’ work. In this journal, I continued to explore the palette of Malcolm Liepke, the alla prima style of John Larriva, some graffiti art, and I dabbled in surrealism. Here’s a flip through of my most recent journal. (The music was composed by my son, Josh Goodell.)
If you’re interested in starting your own art journaling experience, you can find my current offering of journals here.
If you’re interested in acquiring any of Josh’s music, you can find it here.
